The not-for-profit Bequia Music Fest, conceived by the Bequia Tourism Association 15 years ago, is now well established as a highly significant event in St. Vincent & the Grenadines’ tourism calendar. It’s hosted in the unique, relaxed, intimate atmosphere of Bequia, with an open air jam session for which the Music Fest is famous.
The festival has seen a big fleet of visiting yachts gracing Admiralty Bay, and adding to the electric atmosphere. While, mainlanders intensify the festive atmosphere, by traveling to Bequia to join in a sensational weekend of entertainment.
The Music Fest has something for everyone, with an incredible variety and talent of music genres to please all musical tastes. The world famous waterfront bar Frangipani Hotel, De Reef, and Bequia Beach Hotel’s “Jam by the beach” are home to the festival. They have staged performances by rocking artistes such as:
Dana Gillespie & the London Blues Band, Nicholas Brancker Project, NJ30+, Marius Charlemagne, Soca King Edwin Yearwood, the ‘Rolls Royce of Calypso’ Vincentian Winston Soso, Denzil Bacchus Blues Band, Bequia Blues Band, Bequia Country Relatives, Infinity, and the Bequia Kids on Pan Steel Orchestra.
The Bequia Mount Gay Music Fest 2016 will take place from 21 – 24 January.
